Default right rear suspension noise! =/

so guys, I have a big problem with my coilovers/rear suspension. I bought STD coilovers not too long ago and now my right rear coil is making a thumping sound. Im not sure if its the coils but I've tried to stiffen up the preload as much i could but the noise wont go away. The sound seems to be coming only from the right rear side of the car. It only makes noise when it hits bumps or potholes. When its running straight, its quiet. Oh and the coil doesnt seem to be leaking any oil or anything its still stiff when i jack up the car. any help would be appreciated, its driving me nuts.

you need to tighten the spring side of the coilover as much as you can by hand and then lock it in with the wrenches. then readjust the height using the bottom part of the coilover/perch.

Next, you should check your rear carrier axle bushings and also your sway bar end links. If thats not the problem, move onto the rear upper control arms and also the traction rods and rear toe rods.

Hope that helps.

that's the infamous problem everyone has when lowered. when car is lowered, it puts lots of stress on the LCA bushings. Over time it will crack and cause this problem. Either lube the bushing with lithium grease or replace them. But unfortunately, i dont think they sale the bushings only for OEM, might need to replace the whole unit which is lots of money. Just turn up the music and pretend it's not there. That's what i do at least. Sucks when things cost money.

I have this sound to. Mine sounds like a "nut inside a tin can" or sounds like something is loose. It's driving me crazy. It only happens with bumps and potholes.
