Default help with coilovers (pics)

hey i got a 2002 lexus gs (sport design)

just got done installing the rear coilovers and everything went fine

however im going to the fronts now and i dont know how to approach it or what to do

any help please? i used the l-tuned gs430 DIY here on Club Lexus to install the rear ones but it isn't helping out too much on the fronts.

also does any1 know where to get the wrench to adjust the coils locally (Socal) or how to adjust the dampener?

there has to be a couple more write-ups on it. You can yank the shock and spring as an assembly since you're replacing the whole thing. Just take your time and remove what's in your way really. What part are you getting stuck on?

As for the wrench, you could just use a big channel lock plier and just be careful not to strip the nut. Damper adjustment should be done from a **** on the top of the coilover shock. What brand coilovers? This would help us answer that part.

I'm sure there are flat-rate ways to do this that minimize disasembly, however I just unbolted whatever was limiting me from getting the OEM unit out and reversed the process to get them back in. You'll need an allignment anyways...

1) drop the upper control arm to the spindle.
2) remove that big bolt in your picture that looks like it's sprayed with liquid wrench or wd40 on the bottom of the strut to control arm
3)support the complete spindle with with a crate or bucket
4) remove the 3 bolts on the strut tower
5) say easy as pie bam bing pow order a pizza.

6) al fin

that is his link that frankt posted, although not a very good one, sorry stealth. look in the diy section, look for bananas diy or look in the suspention section. its really not that hard unless you are by yourself, it really helps to have a spare set of hands. gl
