Default Is this the lower control arm #2 problem?

Hi everyone, I have a 99 GS3 approaching 150k and I just changed the struts which were completely blown they didnt even retract when pushed down. Now the ride is fine and all but the same clunking I was getting over bumps and shaking in the steering is a little worse. I changed my rims from 17 inch rims back to the stock 17s and the shaking only happens when going from 60 to about 64 then seems to go away at 65. I now notice over potholes or holes in the road my steering wheel shakes and over very tiny bumps I get that same bowling pin clunking but now its worse with the new struts. Im leaning towards sway links and bushings but they looked fine or the lower control arm issue that everyone has. Everyone help please.

Soo my mechanic checked and he saiid the rear wheel knuckles are bad. U cann move the rear wheel a little if you shake the wheel and when you hit the wheel with ur hand you hear a metal clanking. He says this is the cause of the noise and shaking. But its like 600 each side for the knuckle hub and bearing. Does anyone else think this is right? Or had this problem before? Cuz I never heard of this going wrong on any car

come on people i need some opinions, now hes saying he doesnt think the shaking should be caused by rear knuckles since its in the rear.

If you lift the car up and push-and-pull with one hand at 12 and the other at 6, and it moves, then you may have bad bearing. Next is to check the carrier bushing. gl.

That's what my mechanic did with the rear wheels and there is play. You can also hit the wheel and hear a metal clanking noise when the front wheels don't make that noise at all. Is that the bearing? He said the knuckle was bad. Could it be only the bearing?

the rear wheel bearing is bad from the rear symptoms described, unless its not the bearing but a bad bushing on a link in the rear.

wheel balanced?
alignment?
lower ball joints?
tie rods inner and outer?

have your mechanic check all those areas.
