The 98-00 16" oem SC wheels do fit, but you need at least a 20mm spacer AND you must use the clip on style wheel weights instead of the more commonly used tape style weights when the wheels are balanced as it's a tight fit.

anyone here work at a machine shop?

part number- 89047727 at rockauto.com

those are CTSV 4 pot calipers.

now... we just need someone to produce the brackets. it uses a 350Z rotor. the guy has been making brackets for all sorts of cars, just not the SC.

some people are even using SRT brembo's. if you want to blow the extra money, you can get a 6 pot brake system fitted on.

You guys both have good points, no need for misunderstanding and disagreement... On the one hand, alternatives to LS400 kits are very relevant to a thread on upgrading stock SC brakes. On the other hand, starting a new thread makes sense so that information doesn't get lost in a thread where people are only looking for LS info.

Since we are talking about LS brakes, does anyone know the torque setting for the 4 Torx bolt that holds the caliper together?

Thanks in advance!

You'll need a spacer for them to fit. I think 15mm is the bare minimum, but 20mm would be better.

Clip on weights are a must. Clip on weights "clip on" to the face of the rim. They're commonly used on steel rims.

The other type of wheel weight is tape weights that are glued on to the back inside the barrel of the rim. Tape weights will hit the brake caliper during rotation, so it doesn't work.
