Default upper ball joint replace

i see everyone replaces the lower ball joints...my driver side upper ball joint is toast. Can you replace just the ball joint, or do you have to replace the whol Knuckle? (the a arm/upper control arm) peice.

figured i would check, as a new one is like $300 from sewell :/

I'm not sure if you could just replace the Joint. I replaced the whole Upper Control Arm with a Beck Arnley Product (Around $120 for the Arm comparted to the $400 for OEM) since I heard Beck Arnley was reputable.

You can't replace just the ball-joint since it is integrated into the upper control arm. Just get a pair of SPC arms and get some camber and caster adjustment out of it.

I can't say much for long term, but I have no problems after six months of ownership. I guess only time will tell.

How do you know it's bad? It looks fine, besides the rust.

cause it clunks when i go over bumps, and i can see/hear/feel it moving back and forth when I grab the tire and shake it.

yea, i ordered the one upper that I know is F'ed, and the 2 lower ball joints. ill worry about the tie rods, and other upper later. My bushings on the caster arm dont look good, but pressing them out seems like a major PITA.

im ordering springs from tire rack. 245 for eibach, dont see it lower anywhere else. some bilstein sport shocks from eshocks for 449 shipped

145k miles, im assuming this is going to make a huge diff.
