If your bushings are worn, then yes, but more than likely the ball joints are the issue.

ebay has the lexus lower control arms for 300 each.
to test the ball joints u need a torque wrench with the beam that reads inch pounds,
it says to wiggle the ball joint back and forth and to turn the bolt 5 times and measure
the torque on the 5th turn. 11 to 30 inch pounds.

TechGreek, Did the control arms from l-tuned come in? How are they? I'm thinking about getting my arms from them.

Never had any issues with mine as far as I know. I did poke a hole in a boot, but, that was my fault.

Hey guys pardon my ignorance, i just got my 92 sc4. I was just curious though why is everyone replacing the entire control arm? Its not a wear item right? It appears ball joints and bushings can be bought seperate?

you cannot replace the balljoint. If the balljoint is bad, you have to replace the entire arm...

the lexus control arms are more expensive and almost the exact same as the supra LCA's except the supra ones are much cheaper, more abundant, and the differences are the fact the bushings can be replaced in the latter option.

Supra lower control arms are an upgrade buddy, They are aluminum, I guess it would be an upgrade for people that are looking at lighter parts lol, Anyways, Curt from elmhurts toyota has the lower control arms in stock & I believe they sell for 250.00, The ball joints are not replaceable thru all the years..

Supra lower control arms are not aluminum but curt at elmhust most likely has the best price on them and they are an upgrade over stock lexus ones as the durometer of the rubber is stiffer than the Lexus lca's.
