I'm using all oem parts, no aftermarket and i get that noise. I still haven't had the time to get under there and take a look. Hopefully I can do it next weekend.

I have the exact same sound, went to the dealer and they replace the oem rotors and pads and shims everything. I got the extended warranty and even though it has about less than 20k miles on it and there are plenty of pads and rotors. Sounds gone for now and that's 2 months ago

So do the OEM pads from the factory come with shims? Those you that pulled them to look, are they still in good shape?

i finally had the chance to put in the new brake and shims!! and thank the lord, it worked!! the sound stopped , braking feels smoother too! i cleaned out wverything with brake cleaners. i did thoroughly clean out the inside of the caliper too, that might have helped. never again will i buy posi-quiet brake pads!! sadly theres still allota meat left on it too. what a waste... at least i fixed the sound !!

^Great to hear! I just got cleaned up from checking out my driver's front brakes. Not sure how long normal OEM brakes are supposed to last but the inner pad is almost gone!!! The outer pad looks to have normal wear for 34k. So yeah, I assume the noises I've been is done to the "idiot pin" scratching against the rotor. LOL!

Time for new pads and rotors for me!

34k!? thats awesome for the OEM brake pads.. im at 54k miles already and changed it twice. well third time, but i went cheap and got posi-quiet crap, ended up changing it ..

hope people with the same problem sees this. just need to clean out the pistons thoroughly and get new shims!! grease it properly!!

LOL! Ok, so I ordered Power Slots slotted rotors and Axxis Ultimates. I figure, if I can put up with the amount of dust these pads produce why not get a performance pad and get the best and the worst.

Hoping that my items arrive by next weekend so I can do the brake job.
