Default Megan EZ coilover install on 2001 GS300

All,

Just finished installing my new Megan racing coilovers EZ. First off the quality of the units looks great. But with any install on a car that is 10 years old with all original parts, things don't want to come off that easily. It was definitely a marathon install over a day and a half. Bolts frozen with rust, broken bolts, part stores that don't carry any lexus parts. Ahh it is done now.

Not sure who sets the ride height out of the box, but it is WAY too low. I could not get the jack out from under the car! I had to raise the front by 2" to look right. I have the stock rims....for now I have to get some miles on these and will report back how I like them. But from the test drive they feel more sporty with a bit of a harsher ride.

Thanks for everyone on this forum, I have received a lot of good information!

Uh, where are the photos?

Whats the point of talking about installing coilovers but then not posting photos of your GS?!

GO SNAP SOME PHOTOS AND THEN POST THEM UP FOR US!

All,

I need to make some adjustments to the ride height. I will take some pictures when I am done.

All,

Here are some pictures of the car. I have it adjusted just about the way I want it. I had to make some minor adjustments to the passenger rear to raise it a bit. My goal was to lower it a bit from stock until I get some new wheels and tires.

I have to say I really like the way the car drives with these. I currently have the coil overs set on 12 and they ride nice, maybe a bit soft with passengers in the back seat.

Be happy to answer any questions.
