Default Rotor noise

I recently installed Bradi cross drilled/slotted rotors all around. I stayed with the stock pads and calipers , but I am experiencing a whizzing sound while the car is in motion. Also, I hear a similar sound while I apply my brakes. Is this normal? Can someone help me or explain what may be wrong, or am I just over-reacting? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, I hear the same thing with my new rotors that I got from the Group Buy a few weeks back. I believe the noise you hear is air escaping from the crossed drilled holes. I could be wrong but I wouldn't be alarmed. You have to remember that the rotors are going to make some noise with the holes and the slots. It's no longer a smooth surface...

Lightbulb Other Possibilities

Rain - It's also possible that the new rotors & pads R slightly rubbing due to both of them having their full thicknesses. If it's a metallics "scrapping" sound, then it should subside in a few hundred miles ( if not sooner ). It's also possible that the brake dust shield was slightly bent & is contacting the back of the rotor. Put the car up on stands & rotate the wheels by hand. U'll be able to quickly determine if this is the problem. As far as a 'whoosing" sound from the slots/vents, I haven't noticed that myself in over 2 years but I DO have the system jammin' most of the time. After all, I AM an Electronics Moderator!!

Thank you LXOGOOD,DaveGS4,and Mean Gene for all your help and input. I was hoping that the noise was air movement.
Hey LXOGOOD, thanks for the help and good luck with the new rotors. Thanks DaveGS4 for the thread. Also, thank you Mean Gene for your feedback on this subject. I may have to consider the dust shield on one side because when I turn the wheel to the left, I hear some sort of grinding from the passenger side front. I will look into that or maybe I'll just invest in a jammin' system also!!! Thanks all.
