Guidance on Coilovers
Looking for a little input on coilovers for my 1998 GS400. I was able to purchase some used coilovers from a member on the forum. They are in good shape and only on his GS for 6-9 months. They are adjustable by turning the dial on top, but I am confused on how to know where they are all currently set at. I was told they have 16 settings so you would think you could turn the dial and it would stop in either direction for + or -. I counted the clicks and this was not the case. Unfortunately, the brand is unknown by the seller and there are no Company logo's on the coilover's. Also tried to ask shop they were bought from but got the run around. Please let me know if you guys have any ideas. Thanks and pic below

j stuff: Yeah I bought them without knowing the brand name. To be honest, it was pretty cheap deal and I know you get what you pay for. I went on a test drive with him and was happy with the overall ride so that is what I went with. Don't think they are Megan's since the aluminum is actually purple and not the normal red.
kkngn: Yes, you can keep turning the dial and it does not stop. I am thinking two different things- 1. turn the dial for 16 clicks to the - side and they should all be on the soft side. 2. the dials do nothing but are there to mimic higher end coilovers.
LuxuryGS3: See above please
GSteg: Nope, not a lot of money. I am just looking for a better ride than what the original components now provide. Of course, I also will be able to lower the GS a little which is the goal. This has been my wives car for about 7 years and now I am going to drive it. Since it needs new suspension I decided to give this a shot. If not happy I will go another route so not a huge deal for me.
Appreciate the response, can anyone think of a way to see if the dials do anything prior to installing on the car?
Thanks all

linjy2 That thought had crossed my mind. I was just hoping to figure out how to set all to the same zero. Would like to put in on the softest setting and adjust from there, but may just be putting in as is.
Last resort is to go visit a friend who revalves and builds suspension for dirt-bikes. Figure with his knowledge he may be to let me know if they even do anything.
Thanks

Bippu147 Tried going 32 clicks so rules out they are not 32 way's. Counted clicks and put back to same setting.
Sounds like a visit to my friends shop is in order. Appreciate everyone taking a look and CircuitMS, you may just be getting a call from me in a year or less! Thanks guys
