Here, this link will help and answer alot of myths and questions. It's from the M3 gurus so I'm sure they know what they're talking about.

Out of curiosity, would you all recommend avoiding installing f-sport lowering springs on my 250? I mean if there have been this many problems with a 350, surely it can't be good for my 250...right?

Tex915: Here is my advice. You might have some great places to get your IS lowered in TX. I'm in TN, and I have yet to find a worthwhile place to get this type of work done. The two Lexus dealerships I have used - although Very Nice and Great with customer service (seriously) - have been unable to successfully install the springs and/or shocks properly. My car is now plagued by irritating noises. Although I love the handling that the Springs + Shocks provides, the sounds they make ruin the experience. I don't think I would do it again. I would probably do something unsupported by the warranty, since the warranty isn't helping me get this fixed anyway (e.g., coilovers, lowering with a good shop in another state, etc.).
As far as doing the Springs alone, I wouldn't do that unless you have the Sport shocks. I did lower mine the first time with the F-Sport Springs and stock, non-sport shocks. It was okay for a while, but then the ride became very harsh.

I got them installed at a local shop and I am very pleased with the installation. So far I've heard no noises or anything. I did however installed both springs/shocks. Ride is a little stiffer but still very nice. Overall I'm very happy with this setup.
