i like to have a quality upgrade :) plz help
hi guys
now my car has 45k miles, it's an 02 is300 sportcross. it currently has K&N air intake. that's about it
i like to gain a few more healthy horses with some JDM upgrades, I dont want any cheap aftermarket parts.
any idea? also, need a quality JDM strut bar for the front. couldn't find a good JDM anywhere. any sites i can go to????

So if America makes a quality part.... you'd rather have one made in Japan?
Edit: Excuse me if I'm sounding harsh, I'm having a bad day and just trying to understand why you would only want Japanese made parts.

Your basic I-H-E (intake, header, exhaust) will get you close if not there. But I would also look into an SAFC and maybe an exhaust cam gear for some fine tuning.
If you find those used, you will come close to $1000 or maybe a little over. New, will easily get you to $1000 just on the exhaust and header.
And get that JDM stuff out of your head. Just cause it's Japanese doesn't always mean it's top notch.

Since you live in CA, make sure you know what you are getting yourself into. A lot of go fast upgrades are not CARB legal. There are a couple intakes, but zero legal headers in CA. Also, these items will need to come off at every inspection.
If you are still interested, do some research on I/H/E, cams, SAFC.

you can also search for OBX, Megan, and Mazzuri headers. I personally have the OBX Header and y pipe and I love it. Get an exhaust too if you get headers. Also arent K&N intakes made is the USA??? You said you wanted to keep it JDM lol.

Exactly why I haven't done anything more than my evo2 exhaust. I don't want to have to deal with taking parts off all the time or having more troubles with the cops than I need to.

I guess I just thought JDM parts are more reliable. and when I looked up website such as L-Tuned Parts, I never saw anything other than Japanese.
But please show me some other websites as I just can't seem to find any other major sites that carry aftermarket stuffs
