DIY - Replace Brake Master Cylinder Booster
I have a 98 GS400 and wondering if there's a DIY to replace it?

As for bleeding, is there any special type of bleeding measures or is it the standard bleeding from the brakes?

in general, bleed the side with the longest distance first...but it's harder to tell with more modern cars.

That's a pricey part. Are you sure it's the master?
Symptoms?

Just replaced it and bled from the brakes... So far no lights and brake feel is MUCH better. I found a used one from TX.

Bench bleed the master cylinder first... That means bleeding it before installing on the car. Then bleed from farthest line (Rear passenger, rear driver, front passenger, front driver). Done!

I think that'll be an expensive solution. Might as well get a 2001+ BMC.

What's different about a 2001+ BMC?

Maybe an LS400/430 set up? When the BMC is $1,300ish, you think outside the box. Obviously safty would be #1. I'm not saying "Let's do ghetto conversions based on theory. Hopefully it works out better than communism." It was just a thought.

The 2001+ BMC doesn't have the design flaws of the 98-00 BMC. There are threads about this.
