OEM vs Aftermarket Performance Brake Pads?
Does anyone have any insight on the high performance brake pads?
I'd like to increase the "Bite" of the brakes without changing out the whole system. My first thought was perhaps the HPS pads by Hawk. Another friend says rotors..?
Has anyone tried an aftermarket ceramic or composite break pads to see if there is any difference?

If you're using bite to just mean the "feel" of the brakes then feel free to go down this road, different pads can certainly change the feel of the brakes. The HPS hawks do seem to get good marks here.
If you're using bite to mean you want to shorten your actual stopping distance, better pads won't do that. Only better tires will. The brakes don't stop the car, the tires do.
(ditto for rotors, those won't actually stop the car any shorter either...in street applications they'll just wear the pads out and crack faster in the case of drilled, or wear the pads out faster without the cracking problem for slotted)

Thanks!
Yes, my idea is that "grabby" feel, hope thats the right way to describe. I dont mind a bit of dust.
I looked around and it appears Hawk HPS and HP+ front pads are not made for the IS350, this seems a bit odd. The rears are however sold.
