Thumb noise from the front !!
Hello,
I have L-tune shocks on my GS430, when driving on bumps I hear a thumb noise from the front. At one time I toke my car to the dealer long time ago and they fixed it. However, the noise is back. do you all know why this is happing? What should I do to prevent this from happening?
Thanks,

Hmmmmmmm
1) Not sure what a "thumb" noise is, but suspect you may be hearing the L-Tuned bump stops, which slide on the shock piston. This problem has been seen before (if that's what it is) and is fixable by using the original stock bump stops.
2) Have you looked at the repair order from the time when you took it to the dealer?? It actually will tell you what they found in response to your complaint and what they did to fix it!!!
3) As far as what to do, see 2) above. As far as preventing it, it depends on what "it" is. But if "it" is what I think "it" is, then see 1).
But first, you gotta tell us if "thumb" means "thump". If so, all of the above apply although there are other reasons to go "thump" over a "bump". Good luck.

Hey, alkattan!
This is just a guess, but may be your front sway bar is loose and is hitting against the chassis. I had that happen on my car. I took it to the dealer and they tightened the bolts and put some lock-tite on it and that fixed it (for now).
If it's the sway, then it should be getting progressively more annoying (as the bar loosens).
Take it to the dealer and tell us what it was afterwards.
Good luck!
