How low is this?

With dubs you don't need much of a drop to make it look low (1-1.5").

Since it's a showcar, I'd assume it probably has some sort of coilover setup, but that's just an assumption.
The best overall setup that I have experienced is the Eibach/Bilstein. If affordable for you (I don't know what you have in your pocket), you might consider a coilover setup like Bilstein or Tein.
How would you like your GS to handle? How do you drive the majority of the time?

im not really looking to improve performance or lose any performance. i want to keep it feeling as stock as possible while achieving the desired drop.

"that guy" is AutoCouture...that's AutoCouture's show car in Japan and I KNOW it doesn't have H&R springs...and H&R springs will NOT give you that low of a ride. H&R coilovers will only now give you that low of a ride because they just released some new rear springs for the coilovers that lowers the rear end another inch (I know because I have them sitting right here in my house.)
The best bet is with the Tein FLEX. $1300 for quality coilovers is a smoking deal. Height adjustable so you NEVER have to settle for what the manufacturer "thinks" is low enough. Springs/shocks will NOT get you that low unless you cut your springs...which is 110% GHETTO.

What kind of cost are you looking at to install the Tien FLEX coilovers? Can I just order them through Steve and have them installed at a reputable chain wheel shop?
