i will.. thanks. is there a search place on this forum? i cant seem to find one, yet everyone posts stuff about "searching". unless they mean off the forum.

and im just trying to get a general idea.. if it takes too many parts and too much money, then i'l back off the drop.
im looking to give my gs a better look, but dont want to add too many mods or change it too much. as oem as possible.

THANKS!
When you say this do you mean you want to keep as much of the stock ride comfort and feel as possible? You want it to ride like OEM stock but just lower? How much lower do you want to go? Most springs drop between 1-1.5" average. Some drop a little more, but generally the lower the go the stiffer they are. Coilovers give you a lot of options, but are more expensive and sounds like more than what you are looking for if you don't plan on lowering much past the 1-1.5". You can use RCA (Roll Center Adapters) that will lower you about 1-1.5" (Depending on brand) and retain the OEM stock ride comfort. Basically, if you use RCA's on stock springs/shocks, you will have the look as if you lowered with springs, but with 100% stock ride comfort and feel.

You really have to determine how much you want to spend, then how low you want to go, and then how much firmer you want or don't want the suspension to be from stock. Then you can make your game plan and get the right products that fit your needs.

very good description and advice. thanks man, this is the help im looking for.

yeah im looking for as much stock ride feel as possible but still get a drop. im not sure how low i want to get it, i guess id have to look around and see what drop looks good to me. as far as money, i have never lowered a car and barely looked into prices, so i pretty much have no idea what price ranges im looking at. il be flexible to that though, if theres a look i really want and it takes expensive parts to get it, then i guess thats what il go for, otherwise il work with the prices i see that itl cost me for the drop. the RCAs sound like a good idea, but i guess il have to look more into both. which would you suggest?

RCA's is a mild drop like Eibach Pro springs and most other drop springs. Springs alone will cost about $350. It is advisable to get new shocks as well, so that can run another $400. At that point you are approaching the lower costs of coilovers which will generally allow you to drop your car much lower. Coilover can cost around $700-$5000. At the higher end you might as well look into getting air suspension. If you lower your car by more than about 1-1.5" your stock alignment adjustment will not be enough. You would have to look into aftermarket parts if you want to properly align your car or live with the out of spec alignment. The lower you go, the more it will cost you. At about 2.5" or more you might star to run into upper control arm clearance issues as well. Lot's of things to consider.

robertoyou, i was in ur shoes few years ago, then i ended up bought tein spring + kyb shock...then months later, after seeing a bunch of sick GS in this forum, i've decided to get coilover. if I have to do it all over again, i'd save more money and go straight to coilover.

You can adjust coilover easily, drop it on weekend or for lexus meet, then put it back as normal on weekdays

NEW spring + shock = ~ $300 - $400, depends on brand

USED coilover $650 ~ $900 depends on brand.

as you as, the difference is not that much.

my car is pretty much daily driver as well

save ur money more and get coilover, you won't regret it !!
