Default COILOVER QUESTIONS and need quick answer

wuddup.....i just got my tein ss coils installed and right now it seems to be ok and normal...here's my question...how would i know if any one of them goes out of get defected?

they can leak, you can start hearing akward noises, etc.. you would know

if it leaks, would you see it on your wheels? what color is the grease?

you will notice if there's a leak or... When you drive on it one side is bouncy than the other.

damn now i hear a weird clicking sound in the left rear..sounds like a two loose washers hitting each other...what could that be??

you would know if they are blown. just because a strut does not leak does not mean its not blown. if their installed on the car, go to each corner of the car and push down on it and see if the car rebounds. if you press down and its firm and come back up right away then your struts are fine. if its pretty easy to push down and it takes a few seconds for the car to return back to its height, then the struts are blown.

when driving...and hit a bump....and it goes "thump"...then its blown. That's the first thing i noticed on my old Tein CS v1. Then checking the tubes...I saw fluids leaking down the side of the tube...and onto the lower arm.

^^ not all the time. you can get the same noise from bad strut mounts also which a lot of people confuse with blown struts.

^^ How do you diagnose a bad strut mount? Pillow ball or rubber...
