Default Rear End help please! uncontrollable swaying

there is somethig seriously wrong with my car.
its a 92 sc300 auto and 100% stock.

when i drive regardless of speed i hit the slightest bump or inperfection in the road the whole rear end of my car jerks HARD!.

if im going steady at anything above 20 the car rocks left to right pretty hard i mean i wiegh almost 300 lbs. and it almost moves me out of the seat.. all the tires are new and balanced.

i dont have any idea what it could be and i have never owned a RWD car.
its almost as though my car is fishtailing.. its bad bad.

the guy at the shop cant figure out what it is so i come here for true lexus help.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I bought the car for 1500 3 days ago and he sold it to me because of this problem. But I'll look into the sway bar thing and I'll let you know what I find thanks for the info though. Any other ideas what it could be?

Lmao!!!! Dude i bought mine last month!!
The guy wanted $1500 i slapped him 1K and drove it off first thing i noticed the brake pedal going all the way to the floor and mind you i live 60 miles away,
The car was jarring all over the road ESP when i hit a bump, Next morning i looked it over and it turns out to be bad dampers thats why i told you to check em out.

How in the hell would bad shocks make your car sway side to side?

When i lowered my car my sway bar didnt get tightened all the way and came loose and had the problem you are describing but not as bad.

A worn shock can create an excessive rebound on a tire/wheel on a rough road. The wheel will hop too often and when it hits back the road surface, it will push the weight of the car to the sides. Tires, worn out bushings will also add to this "sway side to side" problem.

Bouncing is up an down with worn shocks. I guess if every bushing under your car was shot this might happen unless your hitting bad dips with one side of the car only.

You need to check the end of the sway bar. It should be connected to the end-links. You'll see it.
