Default Gauging Interest on Brake Package Deal

Open to ClubLexus Paid Members

If not a member the final price will be $30 more.. Membership has its privileges so if you haven't become a Member this is the time..

Ok some members do not have the funds to do a big brake upgrade AP Racing/RMM and some don't even want to go to the Supra brake upgrade either because they don't intend to upgrade their wheels or already have standard disk wheels.. So from talking with Steve Ganz depending on how many people will get on board across all the vehicle lines (RX, LS, LX, GS, IS, ES & SC) he can supply the following:

Stock sized front & rear CAD plated cross drilled & slotted rotors
EBC Green Stuff Sport Pads
SS brake lines
Shim Kit

So basically you get the look plus a bit better braking.. Price is yet to be hammered down this is just to figure out how many folks would be interested so Steve can go to his vendors for a better price for ClubLexus..

NOTE: This sticky will stay up till Friday June 14, 2002

At that point Steve or myself will post a package price depending on interest and payment details will be posted so if you think this is something you want please reply..

interested pending on answers below:

1. How much would installation be at a shop to put everything in?

2. what's a shim kit?

3. what's SS brakeline? ( i know it's steel stainless, but what does it do?)

Sorry for asking question 2, 3, if they have been asked before, but if someone can answser it here, then it would help with the decision making alot easier.

thanks so much,

Anyone else out there that would want to do a BIG BRAKE UPGRADE like the 6 piston AP brake kit???

SS brake line keeps the lines from flexing. It keeps the air out of the lines allowing more brake fluid to go to the brakes, giving you quicker stopping power.

I too would be interested in this deal. However, if Steve can get us a good deal on a big brake upgrade, I would rather do that. Either way, if the price is right........count me in.

Thanks guys for all the input.. This brake package deal will only consist of upgrading your Stock Rotors to go along with your stock calipers.. If we can get between 7 - 10 people who want the AP kit then i'll approach Steve about putting together a package price with CL management approval.. Just PM me if you are interested in a Big Brake Upgrade like the AP Racing kit and i'll run it by the powers that be..

But for now lets try to get some more people online with this deal so I can get a hard price from Mr Ganz..

I'll post pictures of the CAD plated cross drilled / slotted rotors soon for those who haven't seen how they look and hopefully tomorrow Steve can give me a rough pricing for the package or itemized for each.. Stay tuned!

Ok don't have the actual pictures of the rotors yet but these are sort of what the rotors look like minus the slotting but these are the drilled only versions.. These were from the Supra Brake Upgrade that Steve offered to CL last year.. As noted by the goldish look they are CAD plated so they will not rust on the hats like our stock rotors..
