Question Question On Lowering My IS350

Planning on lowering my IS350 on Eibach springs.
F = 1"
R = 0.8"
Car will be running on 19" staggered wheels.
Should i be worried about lowering my car on stock shocks since they are not designed for the car to ride that low?

Any help would be appreciated!

Many people have done it (including me) and I'm not aware of any problems. Think about it, the dealer will install F-Sport springs without changing your shocks so why would Eibachs cause a problem.

This question is asked almost every week, please use the search button. No you should not be worried about using lowering spring on oem shocks.

Please get eibach 250 springs as the minimum drop, they work just fine on a 350 and that extra half inch the 250 springs provide make a world of 'visual' difference over the 350 springs.

I have that setup with OEM (sport pkg) shocks, no problems.

That's what I thought. I also feel that 0.8 in that back is not enough. I was also looking at megan racing springs that would lower my car 1.25 all around. Any good reviews on the megans?

Just curious, why does Eibach have different springs for the 250 and 350? Never understood that. The only difference is the drop height?

considering the number of options for lowering springs, it's not very popular.

and if you use the search function, you can find out more information about them and other lowering springs.

we're not trying to be rude; this subject has been covered so many times, it shouldn't bear repeating. that, and a quick search will pull up a lot more information for you than what we can tell you here (because we've already told it to someone else).

i would be led to believe that the difference is due to the weight differential between the 4GR-FSE (3.5-liter V6 in the is350) and the 2GR-FSE (2.5-liter V6 in the is250).

faster, yes, but not as fast as you may think. considering that f-sport springs are warrantied to work w/ oem shocks, shouldn't that logically imply that the oem shocks can sustain that type of accelerated wear and tear?

just a thought.

I have this same set up and don't have any problems with it. F-Sports provide that much (or should I say little) of a drop and the OEM shocks work perfectly fine with them.
