i'm was browsing thru the site regarding these springs from tanabe...and stumbled upon there being two kinds for the 2nd gen GS.
GS300 - 1.8/1.3 drop
GS400/430 - 2.0/1.5 drop
interested to know if anyone has chosen the lower drop of the V8's springs and used them on the GS300 model, or any input/info in this route for getting the max lowering from springs.

from the Tanabe website, the front springs on the GS400/430 will be stiffer due to the engine's weight. the rear spring rates are identical for both the GS300 and GS400/430.
only downfall I can see in using the GS400/430 springs on my GS300 is a harsher ride up front...but how much harsher is the question
here are the specs:
GS300
-Drop: F1.8 R1.3
-Spring Rate: F6.0 R5.6
GS400/430
-Drop: F2.0 R1.5
-Spring Rate: F7.3 R:5.6
Ideally, I would love to have the fronts off the V8 and the rears off the I6 set as my sub enclosure would surely level things out.
