Default need help asap

Ok so I was going to pick up an ls400 bbk and om my way there the guy calls me says there 2 piston not 4 and I know what I need to do the 4 piston set up what what do I nned to do the 2 piston? Is it the same process? And will I be able to upgrade from the 2 to the 4 later on? Please help asap I need to know because only the back brakes are working on mt
Y car right now. PLEASE HELP ME. THANK YOU!!!

If they're 2-pistons, they're from the 90-94 LS400. Its a downgrade from the OEM GS setup.

There are plenty of threads on here that discussion the involvement in swapping to a 4 piston setup.

Yes I know that I was supposed to get a set of 4 pistions but it turns out there 2 piston and I need brkes horribly and the 2 pistion set up is cheaper then gs brakes so I need to know the answeres to the questions up there ^^

If you want to convert to the LS400 (4 pistons) later, you're going to obviously need the caliper and the 12.4" rotors that comes with it. You'll either need to shave off some of the tie rod bolt or get some sort of Roll Center Adapter to clear the calipers.

Second thing is the clearance from the wheels to the brake. If you're on stock wheels, you'll need 15mm spacers. If you have aftermarket wheels, then you may or may not spacers depending on the disk.

Third of all, you'll need to either bend the dust shield, or trim some parts off to accomodate the larger rotors.

Other than these two issues, it's pretty much a direct swap.

yes. If you must have some kind of braking right now, just get the 2-pistons as a temporary solution until you get the 4-pistons.

So I need the rotors calipers caliper brackets pads. Anything else? And do you know i f I'm still going to need the spacer with the 2 piston?

No spacers needed. You only need them for the 4-pistons calipers.
