Default Ahhh, what now?????

Just did my lower ball joints last night and outer tie rods. It seemed to cure the clunk. But it did not. It still makes a creek-clunk sound when braking from parking lot speeds. Not during turning just during braking, and only the right side.

I checked the TQ on the caliper mounts last night when I re torqued everything ilast night when I did the LBJ's and tie rods that was touched plus checked the TQ on the UBJ. All in Spec.

I did Daizen control arm bushings 1 month ago and did ^^^^^^^ last night. Got an alignment today and it is close to within spec. I need to get rear adj toe rods probably.

But WTF is the problem now.

Also I put on the TE 37's and need hubcentric rings. I got the vibration above 70mph again that I got rid of with the Daizens.
I love this car but seems tempermental. I never had hub rings on my s13 with the volks and no vibes anywhere through the steering

Any ideas on clunking noise?

this, or your caster arm bushing. Did you also replace your upper control arm bushings with Daizen?

Yea full Daizen control arm set was the first thing I did when I bought the car. I will check everything once the ground dries out today.

how many miles are on it? it could be your rotors/brakes. i just had to swap mine out because i was shaking while i was braking and my steering wheel had mild seizures at 60mph+

Just clicked to 80k. Rotors look good, pads are for sure fat. The vibration I am sure is due to needing the hub centric rings which I am waiting for in the mail. When I had the stockers o it did not vibrate at all after I did the Daizens. So not worried about the shaking unless it still happens after the hubcentric rings are on. If so then I would say tires, as my front have been in storage for the last 2 years, albiet on their side and they were stretched so the rim was on the ground and the tire did not touch the ground at all. They were also stored inside so tires should be good.

Anyway my real concern is the clunk after changing out damn near the entire front end. All thats left really are the Daizen rack bushings and upper ball joints. But those will wait for my Bilsteins and get some SPC upper.

Hope so, just went out a few hours ago and checked tq on all the bolts from the LBJ to the strut top and in between.

Rings should be in soon.

I had the same problem with the clunking sound, from going from park to drive, it was my front brake caliper needed to be tighten.
