Painted my Calipers today and put the logo in there. It's not a IS350 Caliper, but It'll do!

Default Caliper Color?

Hello everyone. I just picked up an is350c. Star fire pearl with saddle interior. I'm having f-sport springs & sways put on this week. Im having calipers painted at same time. Have white decals. Deciding b/w blue & red for calipers. Thoughts? Was leaning toward blue but think maybe red would flow with interior.

^depemds if you're going to add anything else either color. I started off with blue items because it was F Sport color, then changed to red because my big brake kit was red.

Gotcha. I'm sticking to f-sport mods. I was just curious if there might be experience with red v. Blue calipers and the saddle interior.

Hey, at least with my car, I try to keep a bit of a colour theme... i.e. red and chrome colours on my dark blue is250... A theme ties all your mods or stock options together imo

I think you've got the right mindset. I chose USB with white decals b/c of the springs and sways. Even tho u don't see them, I "know" they're all the same color

so i have stoptech bbk (color red) and im thinking about having them a different color.
1) im debating whether or not i should have them painted or powdercoated a custom color what would you guys advise me doing. (i do know the difference between painting and powdercoating)
2) what is the average price of painting and/or powdercoating all 4 calipers at a shop??

^ If you are having a shop do the work the price between paint and powdercoat is going to be negligable. I wouldn't even consider paint if I was having someone else do the work.

thanks for the reply WylieKylie,
i just would think labor cost for powdercoating would be higher because it requires complete dis-assembly of the caliper (this is a big brake kit i have) so you would have to remove all the pistons, seals, etc. since it would be baked, while i figure painting, you wouldnt necessarily need to be dis-assembled the caliper. but the durability of powdercoat IS stronger than painting.

the other thing is i might be constrained on time as i might want to install before a car show
