Default brake pads

Hey guys

I notice that im getting alot of dust/crap from my new hawks brake pads
Had them installed with the supra kit last week
Im thinking that maybe its the cross drilled/slotted rotors causing this..

any idea's what i can do to get rid of all this dust
its actually thicker then dust and its all over my inside wheels and its starting to splatter along side the car

thanks

I've been using Hawk, Toyota and TRD pads. They're all dusty till I switched to EBC GreenStuff. It's a lot cleaner now. I have x-drilled/slotted rotors too. I think they do make some difference.

Jacob,

How is the green stuff compared with TRD pads in term of "brake feeling" and "performance"? Summer is here and I hate to clean my rims every other 3 days due to the excessive dust created by the pads.

GreenStuff is made of Kevlar while TRD is made of Carbon Semi-matelic. So GreenStuff feels softer than TRD but about the same for stop distance.

TRD pads are way too dusty. I still have 2 sets of almost new ones sitting in my garage.

I have to agree, I'm thinking of going back to stock Lexus pads, it's ridiculous how much I have to wash my rims all the time. Wash the car on Monday, rims will be "gunmetal" by Wed., and "black" by Friday.

Jacob T - Just curious, I see Tire Rack now lists GreenStuff pads for front and rear on the GS, do you have both or just the fronts?

Thanks.

TireRack, 89 for the fronts and 59 for the rears, if I remember correctly. They have the fronts, rears are back ordered.

I have been using KVR carbon fiber/semi-metallic front pads for a while now. Almost no brake dust! They sent me some sem-metallic ones for the rear which dust alot, so you can easily tell there is a huge difference with the carbon fiber ones.
