Default Are TT springs and struts compatible with my 99?

I'm reading they're not, but I just wanted to ask you guys to be sure. If not, my only option is vehicle specific, correct?

Thanks

They should be, but dont quote me on that. I dont think Lexus/Toyota changed the suspension mounting or components much.

Where are you finding this information that they are not compatible?

I havent heard such information and actually just purschased TT suspension and plan on throwing it in whenever ups gets here with it, i also have a 99.

Supra TT strut assemblys will go in straight-away with no problems.

Supra and SC struts are basically the same except the SC uses a larger diameter spring. The rubber upper top mounts and the spring perches are different.

You need 'all' supra struts, or 'all' sc struts. Either will work.

Ok now i'm confused... I've searched this a while back and other members say they've used TT struts with SC springs and top hats and/or sc springs with TT top hots (vise versa) and would work....

I was debating maybe hoping that someday, i'd get TT aftermarket shocks/struts and put my espelir springs on them and use the top hats off my SC.

Anyone using TT shocks w/SC springs and top hats please step up and post. Anyone using any of this combinations at all so we can all get this sorted out.

Thanks!!!

Ok here it is, cut clean and dry..

SC Springs will ONLY work with SC shocks

TT Springs will ONLY work with TT shocks

reason behind the springs and shocks is cause the SC spring perches are different from the TT, so you can not mix and match those..TT springs and shocks or SC springs and shocks..

also, you DO NOT NEED TT tophats if installing TT shocks and springs on your SC..I am currently running TT KYB AGX with TT Eibach springs with the stock SC tophats with no issues and have been for well over 1k miles. there is no modification needed, nothing special to do, just remove old shock and spring, install new TT shocks and springs.
