Default Shock removal with or without a compressor

Hey iam installing new bushings in my front suspension from dazin. I installed the shocks last year and i used a spring compresser. Now that i have to remove the spring and shock assembly to put in the bushings. Do i need the spring compresser to get the assembly out or can i just unbolt it and remove it, iam just worried that theres too much pressure on the bolts and i dont want it to jump out into my face. I also have a stock suspension springs and shocks.
Thanks

If you are just taking out the entire spring and strut still assembled, no need for a spring compressor. In the front once you take the upper ball joint out of the spindle you have the room to pull out the whole assembly. The main strut bolt/top plate holds the spring on the strut no matter if it is on or off the car.

Done it many times before. You dont need to compress the springs to remove the assembly from the car.
BTW shouldn't you know since you changed shocks last year

Just a tip, if you do it this way, disconnect the VSS cable first (just unclip the connector by the front bumper).

With stock springs, you may be able to remove the upper control arm without even removing the strut assy. I almost got the bolts fully out with my Eibachs, but the spring was too tight. I thought, with stock, I might just be able to get these bolts out in between the spring coils.
