any balljoint can fail if youre pushing your car to do something its not susposed to. he has aftermarket UCA's that cost quite a bit. thats why it wasnt a problem for him to replace the upper joint. OVERLL good video. im diggin that crown at the end. hahaa

Looks like Ikeya Formula UCAs. That's an expensive part to break.

jack the car up, and wiggle the balljoint, if you can then your balljoint needs to be replaced.

That front right wheel well has always bothered me... Splash shield gets demolished about once a year, that rotor always seems to warp.. that same balljoint seems to always to have play it in first... and the only thing I've been drifting is a shopping car through walmart.

i just replaced mine when idid my air bags and one side the boot is already split not more than 6000 miles on it must be the air ride putting to much stress on it when it dropped all the way thats why i started leaving mine up unless i am showing it. this is a pic i took of the rcas i made for ls brakes and i noticed the tear already. i have been wandering why we cant make a custom front lower control arm with a heim joint instead of the ball joint it would be a lot stronger might give up a little ride quality. but if my front isn't just going to come apart while driving then i think i can deal with the ride.

yea i need to ask him ill even leave him my car so he can fab one up it would be nice no more wheels tucked into the fender because of ball joint failure it would have to be two pieces the arm and a lower ball joint itself would need to be machined so you could use a bolt instead he could machine the extra clearance into that piece for so called rcas and take care of two problems at once if i had a machine shop they would already be done need a cnc machine.
