Default final decision Q...bilstein HD vs KYB with Eibach springs

I'm seeking a modest improvement in daily driving performance. Would like a little tighter handling and slightly more firmness but don't want to lose too much of the "soft ride".

Since I'll stay with 16" rims, which shock would perform better with Eibach springs(1" drop) for my stated purposes? HD's or KYB GR2's?

Will I see an improvement over OEM with the KYBs? Thanks.

iirc, eibach's are a tad stiffer than oem's. w/that in mind, i'd try the kyb's.
just a few of my copper lincoln's.

+1

My understanding is that the Bilstein HD's are a direct OEM replacement and the KYB's will give you an enhanced ride. IMHO Eiback/KYB is the perfect combination for the "next step" in handling performance for our cars over stock.

eibach's prokit drops more than 1in once you settle. i had em for about a month now and the drops about 1.25 as of now on 18's and a empty trunk.

I am doing the Eibach + KYB + Daizen Bushings next week or so - so I would be happy to report back if you haven't made a decision yet.

Just found out that the springs are going to take a few more days to arrive because it ships from some other vendor on the site I ordered from.....shoulda read the site more carefully.

But as soon as they arrive, I promise to update this. I am so excited about the upgrade and I am getting a bit upset over missing ONE PIECE of the puzzle. G/f is getting pissed about the kitchen table full of parts, Ha!

Just hope I don't lose too much of the same HWY ride you were speaking about - when this thing decides not to float "too much" it just feels smooth as Buttah.
