Default F-Sport Springs :: Rubber Silencers Configuration

i still have clunking on the f-sport even tho lexus gave me silencers for them..should i complain to them and get more? i didn't get lexus to do the install... i had a local shop do it for me and they put the sleeve where the coil at the top was the closest (lexus only gave me one sleeve for each spring)

does anyone know where i can order the tein rubber silencers for canada? the tein site doesn't ship here and there are none on ebay...thanks!

Ideally, there should be two silencers on each of the rear springs... on coils 2 and 4 (2nd and 4th from the top).

It has worked for me... had the springs and silencers installed 3 months ago, and I haven't had any clunking.

No silencers upfront.

update: finally got the silencers on the right way...lexus actually gave me two silencers and forgot to give me the other two...but anyways they finally came in and now i have them on coils 2 and 4 counting from the top

the clunking is practically non-existent now...however, if i hit a deep pothole you will hear a bit of it..but nothing that's not bearable...i'm very satisfied how the silencers worked and would definitely recommend this silencer setup for future f-sport spring users

I have my right rear F-sport springs clunking. All the other springs don't clunk at all. Was wondering if you got clunking both on speed bumps and when entering the driveway at an angle as the spring extends.

I'm not sure if silencers would solve my problem.

Please chime in with your experience. When do they occur? Do both of your rear springs clunk? thanks!

from my experience, before having any silencers at all, i got clunking on both rears but mainly on the right rear. I believe this has something to do with weight distribution of the car. When I drove corners or getting on the ramp for the highway at a higher speed, I do hear the clunking again from the springs stretching. I also get them on speed bumps, especially when they were ridiculously high bumps.

It seems to me like you are basically hearing the same things i heard before the silencers. I put them on and now they are basically non-existent. Since you are in the US, I think you should get the silencers. They are so cheap for you guys. They are much more expensive up here in good ol' Canada.

You can get 2 each rear spring (i believe they are $5 USD each straight from TEIN USA) and try my setup. I think you will be pleasantly surprised how well these rubber silencers work (I definitely was).

Hope this helps!

Edit: I just realized i was the one with the same problem as you in your other thread LOL

Is it possible to put silencer without removing springs, even without removing wheels?
