Default F-Sport Sways same as Hotchkis?

I got off the phone with Luis at Carson Toyota asking about Sway bars, and he said that F-Sport are just repainted Hotchki's Sway bars. Anyone happen to know this for a fact? If this is actually not true, which is the better sway bar set?

Apparently the F-Sport sways are also adjustable like the Hotchki's.

Absolutely not true

IMHO the F-sport is the better set because the size/stiffnesses of the two sets are such that the hotchkis one is more prone to understeer.

Hotchkis rear bar has two sets of holes making the stiffness adjustable, the F-sport has only the one set of holes. I do think Hotchkis actually manufactures the bars for Lexus to their particular specifications.

Thanks for all the fast replies, so F-Sport it is...
For the IS250, would you guys recommend to change both front and rear, or is only rear recommended because front isn't too noticeable?

For the 250 do both... according to fsport.com the stiffness increase is much more balanced f/r on the 250 compared to the 350 where it's a huge increase on the rear bar and a tiny one on the front.

So which is stiffer, the Hotchki's on maximum stiffness in the rear or F-Sport?

FYI the rear bar on BOTH are the same dia.(19mm) the difference being the F-sport is solid bar, the hotchkis is hollow wih two stiffness settings(two sets of mounting holes.) I`ve had both, actually I had F-sport on the is250 I no longer own, and have hotchkis on my 350 I have now, and if I were to do it all over again I would get F-sport, and Sewell has them now on a summer sale!

quick question, with the rear sway, would the rear of the car tail-whip? or would it be harder to get the car into a drift?

With TRAC/VSC on the rear's gonna stay in place pretty much whatever you do

The TRAC/VSC off you can break loose the back end even bone stock on a 350.

But to address the question I think you're really trying to ask, the car most certainly will understeer less with the F-sport bars (as it understeers a fair bit from the factory) but it's still not pushed to oversteer.

(in other words if they made an even bigger rear bar, I'd use it, because I still don't think even the F-sport setup gets it all the way from big understeer to neutral, it just gets it closer to neutral than any other choice)

And the rear F-sport bar is stiffer than the hotchkis even set to full stiff (161% vs. 140%)

The F-Sport is stiffer in the rear than Hotchkis?! I've read somewhere it was the other way around...

Well from my perspective I think Hotchkis is perfect.. Not to stiff and not too soft, and mang i love taking those corners. And I got it at a great price But with the rumors going around, saying they're practically the same thing, why not just get whatevers and go with the same price.. to me it shouldnt matter, as long as you know the product is working.
