Hydro-pneumatic suspension progress
I know the flames are coming...(deep breath).
This setup first of all will go lower than air, lift higher and ride smoother with stiffness adjustability via nitrogen filled accumulators (black granede looking things). This isn't the lowrider hopping suspension you're used to, although it's off the same platform (this car won't/cant hop).
I'm about half done. I worked around the spare tire so I can keep it (not to mention that charcoal cannister is down there). I just got done bending and flaring the stainless hardline. Next comes wiring everything and then installing the actual cylinders. I'll post more pics as that's completed.

Thanks guys....it can go lower (and does) because there is no shock, there is a small hydraulic cylinder 1 5/8" in diameter so no bag clearence to worry about either and also it means its not bottoming out on a strut. With the accumulators, the cylinder acts as a shock and provides lift. Here is what it looks like - a rod end will be bolted on the end of it:

how are you going to set the clearance to be even on all four wheels with those switches? one switch for each wheel right? i'm afraid you'll end up with the car inclined to one side

The switches are front, back, and sides up and down...
And this will ride better than bags without springs and straight accumulator, I've had similar setups in many past vehicles. If there is a local Arizona CL member that will ride in my car in a few weeks and post the ride quality I invite it.
Thanks for the compliments, I was expecting quite the opposite!

If you put some 13" wheels on it then we'd have to bash on that for sure! lol

wow definitely something different
but I highly doubt that it will go any lower than Air setup
(well it all depends how you set up your Air )
there is a limit to how low your car can go unless your cars starts digging under ground
anyways, please let us know when you are done,,I will like to know the outcome of it
thanks for sharing
edit: BTW, I can also adjust the stiffness on my AIR set up
