Default JDM Aristo Strut Tower Bar

I just picked up a JDM Aristo Strut Tower Bar today and was wondering if anyone has any experience with one? They seem a lot more rare than the Tein, TRD, or RMM bars so I figured I would ask for some input from you guys.

I wetsanded it and repainted it tonight...hope to install it tomorrow.

I'll keep you guys posted but would love to hear from anyone who has one. I hear that Coco-bun has one as well....

Mmm.....what kind of experience? I've had one for awhile. To refinish mine I had it sandblasted then painted. Looks brand new.

As far as driving experiences? I am getting ready to add the Daizen sways but wondered if anyone had input on just the bar.

Oh, I'm on Tein CsV2, stock sways, Aristo bar, felt like it firmed up the front end for sure. Less twisting feeling around sharp corners (like when making a 90 degree slow speed turn), its a noticeable difference, you will like it.

Well I got mine installed tonight and it makes a slight difference in the front end. It feels more buttoned down and a little more solid than before.

Nice mod

To tell you the truth, while the bar might increase stiffness by 3-5% at most, its not really noticable. In order for you to feel a big difference, the bar must be triangulated like the ARC bars in order to use the center firewall for bracing. The way it is attached on right now, it is flexing in the middle under hard cornering.

It makes a noticeable difference, I have one. Secondly, it doesn't need to be triangulated to the fire wall to make a difference, remember that the Oem bar is made of cast aluminum.

Nope, they don't offer it for our car. I wished they did though since the one that they make for the MKIV supra is very very nice and the build quality is superb.

e-stalker!!

I'm in the process of painting and what not now. sanded, primered, and painted the two side mounts but I want to wetsand like you and go for another coat. post pics!

I specifically wanted the JZS147 bar b/c it's 1) OEM (well, for the 14 GS but whatever), 2) aluminum (i think?) 3) one piece and not a multi piece like TEIN 4) not as expensive as TRD.

I tried it on by just bolting it on...I know, I'm supposed to jack the car up to install it properly but just wanted to see if it fit. It fits, clears GS400 engine cover, and steering feels firmer (I took it off again for painting and it's noticeable) and I THINK (placebo?) the suspension is moving better.

by raising the car, you free up all the load that goes on to mounting points...and when you lower it, it puts equal pressure on the bar. or something like that, it makes sense in my mind but I was taught by someone who actually knew what they were talking about.

After:

sorry for the crappy pic. very quick pic.

sanded, few coats of primer, more coats of paint, wet sand, clear coat, polish.
I'm trying to keep the "factory look" in my engine bay.

drove it around the neighborhood real quick but it's a noticeable difference
