Default Installing LS400 calipers on my GS300

Just got done, looking good. I needed the extra stopping power with 700HP on pump gas. My R154 blew over the weekend, I'm rebuilding it with Marlin Crawler parts now, hoping it holds.

Looks good! You needed an RCA, to get clearance correct?

That caliper and rotor look real nice. Are going to paint/powder coat match the rear caliper or upgrade it to something as well?

Looks good!

I was wondering as well whether you shaved the tie rod bolt or used RCA's for clearance. I'm thinking about doing the LS400 brakes but I'm on springs so the RCA's aren't a great option.

If you shaved the bolt, it'd be great to get a pic of exactly how much needs to be trimmed off, I'm a little nervous to do it.

what are RCA's? I shaved the bolt and took a little off the caliper too.

I found the RCA's you speak of. I didn't buy this, my car is already lowered so it would look a bit funky lowering just the front even more with these. I think I got the rotors off ebay. I ordered them about a year ago.

It's not just for the front. You can buy the front and rear for an even drop. It works on springs too... except with springs, you will get the drop but you can't raise it up like coilovers.

But, if you have a 1" drop on springs + RCA, you get 2" drop. LOOKS good with 2" drop.

Nice work....I gotta do mines too...its been sitting in the garage for months.

Ever considered changing to SS brake lines?

Btw...the calipers looks like it might rub against your rotor top hats....are these new slat/drilled rotors for LS400 or GS300?
