Default Anyone running 20s w/ stock brakes?

Are there any problems as far as braking goes? I am about to pick up some 20s and i want to see how well the car brakes with an oem setup.

problems? wouldn't imagine there would be any MAJOR issues but i'm pretty sure breaking power/distance will be slightly effected due to the extra weight and etc.

i have 20's with oem brakes and not one problem at all. i would guess that most people with 20's are running oem brakes and i have not heard one prob. from anyone. so buy them and don't trip. ps show a pick of the rims.

imo if you run 20's your not looking to speed or race your car so yes your car will be able to stop, but probably within a longer distance than stock. I wouldnt push my car very hard if I was running 20's. I think jesse james once said "Anyone running big wheels on stock brakes is a dummy"(not his exact words), but you get the point.

yeah I am currently running oem stock brakes on my staggered 20's with no problems.
Braking power can be a bit of a difference considering the stock 17's are much lighter.
I dont really push my GS that hard to upgrade to BBK. For daily driving it works for me.

If I were to upgrade to a better brake setup it would be the supra TT.

I'm running 20's on the stock brakes and have been satisfied with the braking, my wheels aren't that much heavier than stock (the rotational mass is farther from the center tho) and the tires are alot stickier which is gonna help alot. I've tested them a few times avoiding deer and haven't had any problems. A BBK won't help your stopping distance much, it will make more of a difference with fade under repeated braking. I wouldn't hesitate to run 20's and stock brakes on a street car, I might end up doing the Supra brakes for looks at some point but I wouldn't expect a huge performance differance under normal street conditions.

Would upgrade to cross drilled and or slotted rotors and some good pads help this braking distance issue?

i would say just a tad bit cuzz your still runnin oem calipers but the only thing cross or drill rotor only prevent it from heating up faster compared to regular rotors... just my opinion

if not go BBK!!!!
