i actually just got 19s for my GS400...

i'm thinking about lowering them just a little... perhaps .5 to 1.0 inch... i'm the NYC, i really can't go lower than that.

should i just get some tein lowering springs? i don't need to get the whole tein CS suspension do i? I also heard that the ball bearings might need to get replaced more often due to increased stress from the 19s or 20s.

thoughts?

I just had the Sprint Springs w/ Bilstein Sport Struts installed and I have to say they are not that rough. . . The drop looks great 2 inches all around

stock springs with Bilstein HD, Daizen sways, Daizen steering rack bushings, Carson Tuned STB :

the perfect compromise between flat cornering, great steering feel and ride comfort--a solution that doesn't break the bank !

Default Suspension

Tein CS's with Daizen sways all the way. I used to run Eibachs/Bilsteins/TRD and while the handling was great, the ride was too rough for everyday driver. The Tein's give you full adjustments on damping and ride height. It just gives you the ability to tune the suspension to your liking.

If you lower the car with just springs, you will at least need to change the struts as the stock ones won't work well with lower stiffer springs. As I said before, you can do it with springs and struts, but the ride becomes very stiff. I'd spend a little more and go with coilovers. Then you can adjust the ride and damping.
