Default Problem with my Teins lol

So I was driving back from Ottawa to Kansas City Monday evening when my girlfriend noticed the car was bouncing more than normal. I attributed this to the warmer weather causing the highway to buckle a little more. Well I get off the highway and I hear a loud bang like I have run over something or scrapped the ground. The car continues to drive normal, so I continue on. Tuesday morning on the way into town I hear a clunking. I get to my office and noticed oil on my rear quarter. I get under and the undercarriage is soaked. I peak in and see the entire top of the strut has pealed open and the internals have come out. Well I go home to swap it out only to find two of the remaining three are splitting and about to come apart as well. Needless to say, I am already working with Tein to get replacements since they have never seen this happen. The car is babied and never ever is driven hard or tracked so they think there was a design flaw. They have since switched to a steel housing on the V2 CS kits for my car. These are the original aluminum kits.

More pictures to follow. This is the other rear that was almost ready to break apart.

Oh man good thing it wasn't worse. I hope there weren't too many with this design flaw.

I'm glad everything came out OK as well.

How low did you have the car set? I could imagine someting like this could happen if the car was set low becuase your putting undue pressure on the shock housing, but this would REALLY be weird if you had an inch or more gap.

HKS FTW! lol Mine's used for over a year with Winnipeg winter and Vancouver summer (-40'C and +30'C), drove to and from many times without a hitch, and I ripped the roads in rainy Vancouver and drifted the salt in snowy Winnipeg.

Reason I don't go with Tiens are these horror stories that kept me away.
