What's the difference between Bilstein HD & Sports???

Default What's the difference between Bilstein HD & Sports???

just order the HD (heavy duty) but to come to find out that there's two different one with a price difference of about $$30... did i purchase the right ones?

Depends..what springs are you using?


HDs are for OEM replacements and can withstand drops up to ~1".

In general, Bilstein created the Sport version for cars lowered more than 1". They have shorter shafts and valving made to handle the lowering effect. They're damping rate is also higher so they may ride stiffer.

Sports are more suitable for Daizen springs. With the HD, you may be compressing the shock too much.

thanks but those are kinda over priced from what i've seen so far,
$457.60 shipped to my door, i dont think anyone could be that lol
