Default SS headers installed 3/14/2009

Please move to performance section

Got my ss headers installed on Saturday. Took a whole sweet 8 hours thanks to some strip nuts n bolts.

Gripes about SS headers: The darn bolt on the flange is short and barely can be used. I got a feeling the nuts will pop out in a few days...WHY? made in America I guess! SS gave me about 20 bolts all were short and no nuts either. The bolt welded onto the flange is damn short. It's not even funny...one bolt welded was short on the passenger side but the bolt on the driver side is even shorter.

If anyone who wants to buy SS headers, request them to not even weld the darn bolts on. In fact, tell them to not even send the bolts! Pisses me off big time.

The performance gain made up for it though... feels great!!!!!! now, the problem is, I may have to remove the headers and extract the welded bolt and replace it with longer ones. What to do!

It now feels as strong as when I didn't have SRT intake. But this time, it's throughout all the rpm range. I do have leaks (exhaust/headers).
