Hopefully Wilwood worked out the kinks seeing as how that post is from 2002. Just to be on the safe side though I would go with a brake setup that's been used by quite a few members on the forum. Brakes are definitely something you don't want to be different or want to skimp on. If the Supra TT brakes are proven and they're at a good price then just go for that setup.

well i think i would go with the tried and true TT brakes, there Toyota and have been proven to work with our cars.
Plus i did some shopping around and for around that price^^^ you can get the TT fronts , 4 rotors from R1, Goodridge SS lines (all four corners) and all 4 pads.

The Supra calipers have much more clamping power than the wilwood setup (and most BBK offered for our cars)
Most aftermarket companies will use the same calipers for many applications. You'll see that all they've changed was the mounting brackets to accommodate each car.
Bigger brakes aren't beneficial if the pad area is smaller.

like said from my calculations 700ish will get you the TT brakes, all 4 rotors, all 4 ss lines, and all 4 pad sets ...the calipers from rock auto, the pads and rotors from R1 and the goodridge lines from luxurymods ....the only reason i rather piece my own together as opposed to getting the kit from luxurymods is : they use ebay rotors, they dont include anything for the rear other than ss lines.

The wilwood brakes did allot of their R&D work on drag cars...Not big heavy road going cars. Most were designed with light weight vehicles in mind.
I'm sure they have done some work since then, but I would go with someone designing a brake for my style of car.

This kit was done by Revolution Brakes, that post was for a different cailper, these calipers are a relatively new billet design & the pad surface area has about 1sq.in. more are than stock. I run them with my 20" Montanas since the tt did not fit & they are "way better" than stock in every way!

Hold on....Is that price for the front and rear caliper as well...if so man that cheap. If so, this info has brighten my day. My car got hit from the rear on friday night. Still annoyed about it, but noone was hurt. Maybe I'll make a thread.
