Default Which shocks for Universal Air Suspension???

I'm decide to go with the UAS, but my question is which shocks are good with the UAS set up? I was thinking using the OEM struts, but i dont know how long it can stand it . I just wantt a SMOOTH AND COMFORTABLE ride.

OEM/KYB GR-2/BILSTEIN + Universal Air suspension would be a best setup for smoothness?

Not 100% sure on this one, but i'd recommend using coilovers instead. With airbags, your comfort level rests on how much PSI you are running in each bag.

So, with a normal shock setup, you are fixed to 1 "level" where the bag is mounted. From that "level" you will have to raise the car to your normal driving condition. That level doesn't necessarily give you the best ride. It might "look" normal, but might be too stiff or too soft...

By using a coilover, you can adjust the height of the bag on the coilover body. Giving yourself control over which "psi" level is most comfortable.

I hope I didn't confuse you more, let me know if you need anything else...

There are quite a few shocks you can use for a bag over setup using UAS bags. Like Luxury mods mentioned, all the comfort just depends on how much PSI you pump into those bags. Here is what you keep in mind when shopping around for a shock, the diameter of the shock body has to be no larger than 2.14". Anything bigger would not accommodate the bag. Tokicos work fine. Alot of Teins work except the basics and the SS. HKS works great. Just call around.

i have Tein CST's with UAS bags.... everything else is custom... rides real smooth....

10 being OEM
it rides about a 8.75

on a smooth road you cant tell the difference.... i'm running 85 and 65 lbs of pressure...

Mine rides fine on bags with OEM shocks as long as I don't take all the air out. Then it's just bouncy and rough.

OEM shocks will require some cutting on the shock spring seat.
But they do work.

I just got my HKS Hipermax III, planning on driving it for now, i'll wait until i have more money then i'll get UAS on it. Since coilovers are much better than shocks.
