I think it's because of the cold weather. Makes the suspension parts harden up.

it can be anything. give more spects of your car. are you lowered? what are you lowered on? what are the mods that you've done back there in general. after market rims etc? more info would help narrow your problems.

might be the suspension being loose, check the top hat. then check your rotors and and breaks. thats all i can say. i had that issue but it was just my coils that were lose. i didnt tighten them to torque spec. and if anything check your rim if its touching or rubbing anything.

If the noise started before you installed the coilovers, brakes, and is still occuring, then it leads me to believe its not those components, maybe a failing sway bar end link or tie rod bushing?

I have a '02 GS430 riding on Tein Super Street Dampers. Lately I noticed a clunking noise front left front side of the car whenever I drive over rough patch of road. I had a custom shop take a look at the car, but they've found nothing wrong with it. We eliminated the upper pillow bushing and any other suspension link that might be the culprit. It's not the brake pads, seeing how the same noise emanates while applying brakes in motion. Anyone encountered/had similar problems to the extent? Any input appreciated thanks.

Thanks, but the noise I get is upfront on the car not in rear of car. Funny thing is a local non-tuner shop diagnosed the problem after doing an alignment on it. The only issue was the tech was scared to even mess with the camber on the car because of the way it's set up. Seeing the EDFC and motors on top of shocks the guy told me to take it to the dealer to have my camber done on the car. The tuner that does some serious high-end cars couldn't diagnose the problem and literally was no help to me as well. I went to this hole-in-the-wall shop where from the counter you smell the cars being worked on, and the guy showed me some stuff I had no clue how to work on the car. So to sum it up, the guy found the problem on my car as being a shock going bad upfront left side of car, told me to come back and he'd send my shocks back to Tein to get refurbished w/o trying to sell me some other stuff that I didn't need like the high-end tuner shop.

Start by ruling out parts. Disconnect one side of your endlinks to make sure it's not the endlink's balljoints that are failing.
