does the year matters on the LS400 calipers (ex. 1992) to fit the SC300??

The 1995-2000 LS400 4 piston calipers and rotors will fit ALL 1st gen (1992-2000) SC300 & SC400 with a few modifications..

1) You will need to use LS400 caliper bolts or reuse your SC400 or SC300 caliper bolts with a 2-3mm spacer, as they are too long for the LS400 calipers..

2) The heat shield will need to be modified, completely gutted or changed out to LS400 dust shields in order for larger LS400 rotors to fit..Dust shields serve very little purpose, so it is up to your personal preference rather to have a dust shield or not..It is recommended that you gut the shield out completely..

3) You will need wheels that are designed to clear the larger LS400 caliper..for example: Supra twin turbo wheels

I had a little trouble Installing the Calipers. After trying to install the calipers a few times. I notice that I needed to notch the back of the calipers because the caliper was hitting the UPPER mouting bracket (unable to bolt the Caliper mounting bolts). I used the SC Brake Lines and the LS400 Caliper mounting Bolts

Wow those look great! Mine still have no color. After seeing these works of art I'm getting tempted to send them out and have them chromed. The only thing that concerns me is that I might have to get a rebuild after that. What do you guys think?
