Putting KYB GR-2 and DF210 this Friday
I will be installing KYB GR-2 and DF210 this Friday on my '04 GS430 and would like any recommendations from you guys out there. Is there other parts needed to install the shocks and springs? All I have is 4 plain shocks and 4 springs.
I know this shop will do it for me for around $150 including alignment. Good price? He said it will take about 3hrs?
Hopefully the drop will be ok with my current 19" wheels with 43" and 45" offsets.
I'll post photos afterward if you guy give me inputs

Thanks much for the good recommendations. I will ask the shop if I can come back in a week or so for alignment.
This is my first mod on any car, so hope everything goes well.

Depending on the widths of your wheels, the offsets are probably fairly conservative. They may be a little sunken in, but if you're not happy with it you can use spacers to push them out closer to the fenders.

If I were you would pay $150. Its not a simple task. You will need a spring press, good wrenches to take out the ball joints and a whole hard day.
Tell them to check the Ball joints, brake pads, etc
Where did you bought the new stuff?

I don't think I need spacers. Right now I'm afraid that they come out too much already. Right now I'm afraid the rear will rub because it come out too much. The rears are 245/40/19 +45 offset.
I bought them off ebay over the 30% discount last week. It's the best deal ever thru ebay for unbeleivable price. GR-2 for under $300, DF210s under $200, bought Hawk pads for cheap too.
I also bought Visor and loves it.
