I ordered my Rotora EOM rotors from JDMUltimate.com and they finally came in today after about a months wait. I'll be installing them in a week after my finals.

I think stoptech uses Centric rotors and drills and slots them from what I have read and seen. Do a search of "Centric rotors IS350" on google and you will find some guys installing them on a lexus tech site.

Rock Auto has the cheapest blank Centric rotors I have found. About $160 shipped to FL for both fronts for IS350 and there are always 5% off coupon codes if you search google for it. Just make sure you are ordering the 333mm rotors.

I've been researching for my 350 brake upgrade.

^Centric owns StopTech. All StopTech rotors are "technically" Centric rotors.

I just order a set of 350 Centric Rotors for $155 shipped from Rockauto.

decent looking rotor even though they look like the came from different factories. One side has a protective oil coating and machined face and the other is lacking the oil coating and looks like the machined surface is oxidating. The P/N are different for each since the 350 has directional rotors.

One good sign is one of the rotors looks like it was balanced cause there is a machine edge on the end.

heres the non oil coated rotor.

sinister2c... Do you have the part number for those rotors you ordered from Rock Auto? I just checked their website but the rotors are 296mm which is the size of the IS250 rotors. I have a 350.

Also, it's been nearly 2 months, how are those rotors treating you so far? What pads did you use?

Just watned to chime in and see how these Centric rotors are doing? Worth it? Rock Auto seems to have a good deal on them but just want to make sure their arent to cheap in quality.

Any feedback is appreciated!

Quick question, is it bad to replace the pads and not the rotors? I've got about 66k on an 06 IS350...stealer told me I needed both because I can't re-machine the rotors.

I'm about to order the EBC red stuff pads, but don't want to spend on the rotors. Bad idea?

i would replace the rotors if one of the following apply:

1. warped rotors (if when you step on the brake you feel a vibration)
2. scored or grooved rotors (heat will not be uniform on rotor could lead to warping)
3. rotors are thin (thinning to the point where they wont last the life of the new pad, again could lead to warping)

personally i have 70k on my car and need new pads. im just switching everything out. it will be a headache in the future if i dont. just my 0.02.

Rotors don't generally warp, that's largely a myth... for what's really happening, why, and how to avoid it, see here:
http://www.supramania.com/forums/con...Braking-System
(the original at stoptechs website appears down at the moment, but that appears to reprint the whole thing)

But otherwise, yeah, no reason to replace the rotor unless there's something seriously wrong with it. (and no good reason to machine/cut/resurface it either)

No, there isn't any real problem with the rotors. No vibration or anything, just the pads that are gone.

Ordered the EBC red stuff pads. I'll take a look at the rotors and see if i really need to order new ones.
