the rotors were $200 each? I find that hard to believe. The reason the GB never materialized was the initial price was I think 1k front and 1k rear which pretty much became 1k per rotor/caliper.

The Rotors are by Brembo as the entire system.

The F-Sport rotors are the same size but actually true 2 piece brakes, with an attaching hub. The IS-F 14.2" brakes for instance, are solid 1 piece.

Good luck on the project!

I believe that price was his "hook up" price from his friend at the Lexus dealer. Can't wait to see the pics and write up LRD.

I would be extremely interested to see how the LS caliper which was designed for the LS rotor would fit a much bigger 14" rotor from the IS-F..

Do you think you need to change out the brakets and mod a new bracket to acccomadate the much larger rotor?

I'm guessing that the OE bracket will not bolt on after you install the IS-F rotor...Whatever might be the case, I hope your install goes well!

He already said in this thread that he's having adapters (brackets) made.

Should be interesting to see the results

it will sit high up on the rotor .. it can work and will look hot but ? is will it work effectively sitting so high up on the rotor

rem guys i did the first rear bbk oem kit for the gs400 a couple of years ago using the rear rotor and caliper from the new ls430 whch were huge ... had brackets made , everything mounted up but the caliper sat too high on the rotor for it to be effective there was about a 1in gap so although they looked great , it failed to produce the desired results

but hey good luck on project , look forward to seeing urs come off successfully

Looks great! You should have a few extra brackets made for anyone who wants to do this mod.
