Default Anybody know how RCAs work?

Just curious, how the heck does RCAs work? I know they are suppose to drop your car and extra inch and correct camber like a degree.

What's you're essentially doing is raising the knuckle that holds the wheel hub. But because your wheels are sitting higher up relative to the lower control arm, the chassis sits lower once the tire touches the ground. The RCA blocks do not need to be crazy strong because they hold little weight. It's the bolts that endure the shearing force. Also, not all RCAs will lower your car by 1". However thick the RCAs are, that's about how much your car will lower by.

Here is a quick drawing. Obviously the red block is the RCA. Blue axis is the reference line for before/after comparison.
