Torque Spec. for Wheel bearing nut?!
I changed both front wheel bearings in my 1999 GS 300, I am pretty sure I messed them up upon reinstallation. The bearings are grinding already.
I am pretty certain I overtorqued the large spindle nut on the backside of the bearings. Can anyone look up the torque specificaiton for this? If someone has this I may to a DIY when I redo them this week. I have a trip to STL this weekend and I am not driving it like this (noisy and unsafe).
Thanks.

You know what, i've had something similar happen to me. The first thing I would do in your situation is to bend the heatshield behind the rotor back a little bit - its probably touching the rotor(s) and making a noise which makes you think you jacked something up. Try this and get back to us

Thanks for your help, hopefully I can get a spec for the nut..
It is not the heat shield hitting the rotor.. I have checked it.
More to come, I am starting the repair job tomorrow after work..
