Default Tein s-tech + stock wheels + spacers = rubbing?

i'm wondering, does anyone have 15mm front and 20mm rear wheel spacers on their isx50, along with s-tech springs and stock 18" wheels? if you have any pics or input, post up. i would like to go with the s-tech, but don't know if that drop will be too much with the spacers.

with that said, i can't decide on Eibach (250 springs for a 350) or the s-techs, esp now that everyone is hyping the tein so much lately.

thanks!

Hello. Since you have a 350, here is a link to your questions. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=383966

Mister T - If you don't mind, I used your sweet a** car as an example. We will look alike pretty soon(not that I was going to copy you or anything)! Peace!

Try using the search link too to help you narrow your choices. Good luck!

depending on your tire. if your running the stock turanzas the sidewalls arent as thick as other tires and i'm pretty positive you won't rub on s-techs with them on the rear (20mm)

thanks for the reply. i'm familiar with the search and have seen the thread you linked in your post. unfortunately, although the person who posted those pics has spacers, he has the Eibach kit for the 350 on his 350, and i was looking for info on the Eibach 250 kit (on a 350) or the Tein s-tech kit with spacers and stock wheels.

how would the drop that the s-techs provide go with an aggressive offset 18" or even 19" wheel? if someone has input on that, i may be able to use that info and apply it to my original question.

anyone?

mista801 - good input, what do you think about the front though? do you think i might have an issue with the big 1.6" drop of the s-tech with a 15mm spacer on there? btw, i still have the stock tires.

thanks for the reply...

see my set-up -

front:

rear:

with s-techs + factory 18's + spacers, you shouldn't rub. maybe if you have a full load in your car, though...

the eibachs aren't as low as the s-techs, but the s-techs are not as low as you might think.

Don't have any pics available at this time.
I have an IS250 with Eibach springs and H&R spacers,15f/20r. I rub a little (left rear only) on dips and bumps. Going lower will definitely rub more. Why not try 15f/15r or 10f/15r.

I had 20mm spacers with the Tein and OEM rims/tires. I actually added a 3mm spacer for a total of 23mm. IMO go with a 25mm spacer! 20mm will give you some extra breathing room. Looks good and I had no rub issues. The car drives better with spacers in the rear only. but looks good if you have front and rear. you only need 5mm in the front IMO. If I can find a pic I will post it later for you.

how can you have no rubbing? did you push the plastic part inside the fender with a heat gun? I have 225/35/19 in front and rubs only when I make an aggressive turn. (this is with NO drop). with s-tech drop I'm afraid to rub even more...

hey passnu2 - do you think i'd have any trouble with stock 18" wheels/tires with 15mm spacers on the front with the S-tech springs? i'm good with the 20mm in the rear, but i'm most concerned with the front. let me know...

I don't mind.

For the record, I'm on Eibach's 350 kit, 15mm front/ 20mm rear, w/ stock wheels and tires. More pics here.

I do not have any rubbing issues when riding alone, but once I had a full load of 5 adults and I did rub in the rear when I hit a bump on the freeway.

The s-techs you're considering is lower ~.5 inch so I think you will rub in the rear. Maybe not when you're driving alone but almost for sure with 4 other adults. Not sure about the front with that set-up but I have no problem there since I have still have a 2 finger gap up front.
